As I look back on the year 2020, I find that even during a challenging year, there are still many things to be grateful for. My father retired in April, and I was able to take over the business that he built over the last 25 years. I am so grateful for the values he instilled, not only for our company, but for our clients, and our community of Eau Claire.
I’m proud of our people, and how we were able to quickly transition to working from home internally and help our clients do so as well. I’m grateful for our team’s expertise, grateful for the technology that has made remote work possible, and grateful for the patience and trust of our clients throughout the process.
I’m proud of the Eau Claire community, and how we were able to take on multiple public health issues in one year. We worked together to examine where changes needed to be made and to determine how we can create a safer community, for us and for others.
We are all in a rush for 2020 to officially be behind us, and it has been a very difficult year for many. However, I think it is important to reflect on the past 12 months. I’m guessing we have all experienced growth in some form, whether professionally or personally. Maybe you learned a new skill, put a greater focus on family, or started a new career. I’m doing my best to be there for those who have struggled this year while continuing to work towards a better future for our business, our customers, and our community.
Wishing you all health and success in 2021,
Josh Hanson
