Announcing the Progression of Microsoft Dynamics GP Human Resources & Payroll Suite

Microsoft and Integrity Data have announced that they have changed their long-standing licensing relationship.

Effective March 1, 2022, Microsoft Dynamics GP Extended Human Resources and Payroll will no longer be offered by Microsoft. Extended Human Resources and Payroll is a suite of modules developed by Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Integrity Data, which has been available from Microsoft as an optional add-in to Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Microsoft will be removing the extended Human Resource and Payroll Suite — consisting of modules such as Payroll Extensions (Deduction in Arrears, Payroll Integration to Payables and Overtime Rate Manager) and PTO Manager — from the Dynamics GP install in March 2022. New or existing customers who wish to purchase the Human Resource and Payroll Suite may purchase it directly from HOOPS.

Note: This announcement does not impact Core Payroll and Human Resource which is included in the Dynamics GP Starter Pack, except for Payroll Extensions product listed above. Microsoft continues to support and provide tax updates for Microsoft Dynamics GP Payroll through the Lifecycle of the product.

With Integrity Data, customers will have access not only to these modules (listed above), but have the option to add on other robust, cloud-based solutions such as Employee Self-Service, Recruiting & Applicant Tracking, New Hire Onboarding, Benefits Administration & Enrollment, and a variety of payroll enhancements.

Integrity Data will be offering the same functionality to new Dynamics GP customers looking for Human Resource and Payroll Suite, or existing GP customers who would like support for their modules after February 2023 are invited to reach out to HOOPS directly.

Existing customers who have already licenses to the functionality will be able to continue to use the product and receive support from Microsoft, but Microsoft will cease providing support for this functionality in March 2023.

In addition, this announcement applies to Payroll Extensions included in the Dynamics GP Starter Pack.

Q: Are Dynamics GP Payroll customers impacted by this change (excluding components above)?

A: No, Microsoft continues to support and provide tax updates for Payroll.

Q: What is the impact on existing customers using Extended Human Resources and Payroll?

A: Existing Extended Human Resources and Payroll customers may continue using the functionality without any changes. After March 1, 2022, existing customers who perform a License Model Transition (LMT) to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 will need to contact Integrity Data for license/registration keys and installation. Customers should contact HOOPS to manage this and for new version installation and license/registration keys.

Q: What about the customer’s Protected List Price (PLP)?

A: Starting March 1, 2022, customers who previously purchased Extended Human Resources and Payroll licenses, via the Dynamics GP price list, will see their Protected List Price (PLP) reduced to zero. Microsoft will discontinue charging maintenance fees for Extended Human Resources and Payroll upon a customer’s first renewal following March 1, 2022. The customer’s next renewal quote will be recalculated on the current plan’s PLP.

The license/registration keys for these modules will remain on existing customers’ accounts, allowing their continued use. Microsoft will continue to support Extended Human Resources and Payroll through the Product Life Cycle.

Q: What about the customers’ current Dynamics Customer Services and Support Plan for Human Resources and Payroll (Integrity Data)?

A: The customers’ existing Enhancement or Advantage Plan with Microsoft will remain in effect through their plan expiration date. To facilitate a smooth transition, HOOPS will work with Integrity Data to establish an account for customers.

Q: What about quotes for customers with plan expiration dates close to the discontinuation date of March 1, 2022?

A: Microsoft generates and sends quotes 90-days prior to the customer’s plan expiration date. Effective March 1, 2022, any quotes that include Extended Human Resources and Payroll will be inactivated and recreated to exclude Extended Human Resources and Payroll from the customer’s PLP. If a new quote hasn’t been created, a partner can create a new quote through My Messages to exclude Extended Human Resources and Payroll.

Q: Where do Extended Human Resources and Payroll customers go for support?

A: Microsoft will continue to support Extended Human Resources and Payroll until March 1, 2023. Customers on the Fixed Support Lifecycle (Dynamics GP versions 2018 R2 and prior 18.00.0628) follow the support and serving timelines listed here.

Customers needing support after the serving timelines should contact HOOPS or Integrity Data.

Note: If you install the Extended Human Resources and Payroll product purchased directly from Integrity Data, support requests should be directed to Integrity Data.

Q: Customers have a PLP with Microsoft, for calculation of annual maintenance, for Extended Human Resources and Payroll. Does this PLP remain protected with Integrity Data?

A: Integrity Data is not privy to or in a position to honor Microsoft’s pricing for Extended Human Resources and Payroll. Microsoft does not control Integrity Data’s annual maintenance fee schedule. Please contact Integrity Data for more information.

Q: What should customers who currently own Extended Human Resources and Payroll do?

A: HOOPS will contact Integrity Data. This will facilitate an easy transition and help minimize potential issues when upgrading (such as access to the software and license/registration keys).

Q: How do customers, who own the Extended Human Resources and Payroll suite, but are unsure if they are using all the features, learn more about the functionality?

A: Customers should contact HOOPS for information.
